Dear Mr. Suddaby:

For your info I am including a copy of a story that was run in the Auburn paper regarding abuse at the Cayuga County Jail. As time permits I am following up with agencies about what is being done to investigate. I called your office and was referred to the FBI. I have contacted them and am still waiting for any status info.

I was very surprised to read the response from the Sheriff about conditions and don't think he was being truthful at all. Obviously, I don't have a lot of time to spend on the issue, but try to do a little bit. It will probably be only a matter of time till a prisoner is really hurt and a lawsuit occurs and a lot of time and money gets wasted - and people will ask, 'How could this have been allowed to go on?'

In closing, I also ask you to please reconsider present tactics being used at the Federal Building to block my access. There is something very wrong with armed guards stopping a peaceful parent from petitioning their Member of Congress for family law reform. Since this started last year it has only used more resources and can only make the situation worse. I have no resources to sue for my rights and can only object by being silent in Court. It is to no ones benefit.

Respectfully yours,

John Murtari
