Good People,

John Murtari called from jail this morning and asked that one
last plea be sent out for folks to fax a quick letter to Judge
David Klim.

Please, in a polite manner, just ask the judge for a little mercy
in delaying John's sentence for six weeks so that he and his son
Domenic can have their summer vacation. You don't have to change
his mind regarding what the facts are--just ask him for mercy as
a fellow parent. His fax number is: (315) 435-8594. John still
has plane tickets for this Wednesday.

Over the weekend John had a chance to write a personal letter to
the judge. The Catholic Bishop of Syracuse was
in the jail over the weekend to celebrate services. John also
gave him a note explaining the situation in asking him to
intercede with the judge.

>From John:

"I've been truly touched by all the people who have written on my
behalf,. and I share the agony of all of you when an order
suddenly separates you from your children. I have spent much
time in prayer here, and I thank you for your thoughts and
prayers also. It's now in our loving Father's hands."
